About Us
Experienced Breeders
- Deshabilles cattery was born with my desire to create a healthy , top quality cattery for canadian Sphynx cats in northern ireland .
We are one of two registered cattery in northern ireland for gccf , to promote good breeding practice for this breed here in the north .
- We are a relatively new cattery in terms of the breed , but are determined to bring knowledge and care to all those who wish to know more about Sphynx .
These are fully registered , tested cats from a gccf approved breeder with many years of experience .
We go one step further than most catteries as we viral test for disease , not just snap test for FIV/FELV .
Our cats are home bred and socialised and live in clean environments
As sphinx and Rex cats have specific tests for health are Sphynx kittens parents are HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) by registered cardio vets and certified clear .
You can be confident that any cat or Sphynxx kitten from us is healthy happy and loved and will become a valued member of the family 🐱

Sphynx do require a high protein diet as they have a faster metabolism than any other cat , they have webbed toes and love the water - which includes the bath !
Our cats are from russian lines imported and we fully intend to pursue top breeding lines to enrich the breeds potential over the next few years
sphinx are virtually unknown here as a breed rarity of breeders willing to bring the breed along at show standard here has held them back , we fully intend to correct this .

We are delighted to say that deshabilles stud boy Draco has been picked for a small bit part in a movie to be screened in the cinema later this year
he is currently on set as we speak
thats one movie I won’t be missing !
